Hansani has a strong academic background in International Relations from the University of Colombo, complemented by a Diploma in Human Resource Management. Her early career was shaped by internships and volunteer work with organizations focused on human rights, youth empowerment, and child rights protection. She began her journey with FISD as an intern, where her hard work and commitment led to a promotion to Project Assistant. Currently, Hansani serves as the Media & Communication Officer at FISD, where she plays a vital role in shaping the organization’s public image and communication strategies. Hansani is deeply passionate about gender and development, child rights protection, and promotion, and is driven by the belief that every individual, regardless of their background or circumstances, deserves access to fundamental rights, safety, and a nurturing environment.
