District Programme Coordinator – Alcohol, Drugs Prevention and Development – Hambantota

Kalana has joined FISD as the District Programme Coordinator for the Alcohol and Drugs Prevention Unit in Hambantota. He has completed ICT NVQ Level 4 and pursuing a Diploma in Criminology. His previous role as a field officer for the World Food Programme (Colombo district) at Sarvodaya, combined with his volunteering experience with Sri Lanka Youth, Sarvodaya Shramadana Movement, and FISD, has honed his skills in community development and support. Kalana’s keen interest in political engagement and development drives his commitment to working closely with communities, fostering educational programmes, and enhancing local development. His goal at FISD is to contribute to meaningful change by focusing on alcohol and drug prevention initiatives, aiming to educate and uplift the community.
