Chathurika Jayalath

Program Manager – Gender and Development

Chathurika joined FISD five years ago, to the Gender and Development program, where her journey took a more focused turn. This served a transformative journey that tested her abilities and brought her full circle in a cycle of learnings and unlearnings, underlined by gender justice. She obtained her bachelor’s degree in international relations and a master’s degree in development studies and is also a fellow of The Fund for American Studies of George Mason University, USA. It was her time of volunteering as an undergraduate for international and local NGO’s that ignited her spark to advocate for Women’s Rights and become a feminist. She heads the FISD Gender and Development program with passion and determination to create a gender just and equal society for all.
