Professor Mohamed Mahees, PhD.

Prof. Mahees received his B.A. Hons in Sociology from University of Peradeniya (1999), M.A. Research Degree in Environmental Sociology from University of Colombo (2007), PhD in Water Resource Management from Postgraduate Institute of Agriculture, University of Peradeniya in affiliation with Crossing Boundaries project of Netherlands (2011) and Postgraduate Diploma in Counseling from University of Colombo (2017). He is currently employed as a Professor in Sociology of University of Colombo, Sri Lanka. Prof. Mahees is President of Arts Council of University of Colombo. He was also President of Colombo University Teachers Association in 2021/2022.
