District Programme Coordinator – Child Rights Protection and Promotion (Hambantota)

Vidusha currently serves as the District Programme Coordinator for the Child Rights Protection and Promotion unit at FISD in the Hambantota district. With an educational background in Mechatronic Engineering, Vidusha has channelled his skills into various social development initiatives, reflecting a deep commitment to the field of social work. Vidusha’s dedication to social causes is further evidenced by his role as a representative of the Hambantota district in the Youth Parliament. He previously worked as the Hambantota District Project Manager for the Child Fund Project at Sahana Samaja Pathanama, gaining valuable experience in managing child-focused programmes. Additionally, his tenure as the Southern Provincial Coordinator at Sri Lanka Unites, where he focused on child and social development for two years, enriched his understanding of grassroots mobilization and community engagement. Beyond his work in social development, Vidusha has a strong interest in media, journalism, and public speaking. He engages as a media trainer, where he not only hones the communication skills of others but also shares his political views on online platforms, demonstrating his commitment to fostering informed dialogue and advocacy in his community.
